About the role
Build and run backend systems for Alpaca's lending and borrowing products in securities finance. Support and improve infrastructure powering brokerage customer experiences and operational processes.
What you’ll do
• Build and maintain backend systems for lending and borrowing products. • Own projects from problem definition to production. • Improve existing systems for better performance. • Learn securities lending, collateral, and settlement processes. • Participate in on-call rotations and fix root causes.
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years building distributed systems in production. • Proficient in Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes. • Design and evaluate RESTful APIs. • Strong fundamentals in computers, networks, databases, distributed systems. • Curious about market mechanics and detail-oriented.
