Service Instrument Engineer, On Call

About the role
Maintain and repair chemistry lab instruments including synthesizers and HPLC systems. Provide on-call support nights and weekends to keep lab operations running smoothly.
What you’ll do
• Troubleshoot and repair lab instruments. • Respond to instrument failures within 24 hours. • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration. • Manage spare parts inventory. • Coordinate vendor service and install new instruments.
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years in instrument field service or lab automation. • Experience with microwave synthesizers or parallel synthesis platforms. • Knowledge of fluidics, pneumatics, and basic electronics. • Comfortable with strong acids and organic solvents. • Reside within the Bay Area.
