About the role
Develop and own the software control loop for precise laser pointing between moving platforms in space. Implement real-time embedded control systems to support satellite-to-ground and satellite-to-satellite optical links.
What you’ll do
• Own pointing and tracking control loop from design to on-orbit operations. • Design and tune closed-loop controllers for optical links. • Translate control theory into real-time embedded software in Rust. • Support hardware integration and hardware-in-the-loop testing. • Develop fault detection, isolation, and recovery strategies.
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years in control systems, GNC, robotics, or embedded software. • Experience designing and tuning closed-loop control systems. • Strong control theory fundamentals. • Proficient in systems programming languages, preferably Rust. • Experience with sensor and actuator software integration.
